This Week in Review

kenya-643631_1920Last week tragedy was felt around the world. There was a massive earthquake in Japan, college kids were shot and killed in Kenya, and concert goers in Paris were bombed, shot, and killed. It has been a tough week for the world. Isis has been threatening to attack specific states of America, California, of course, being one of them. People are on edge and scared.

All of these events make it feel like it is the end of the world, but is it? We have all had hard and scary times before and we have survived. These are troubled times and they should not be ignored, however, I’m not sure the end is near just yet.

I believe it is time for our country and other countries to take note of the things going on around them and make some important changes. The terrorist around us is going to continue to do what they do to terrorize us all into compliance and death. As a humanity, we need to rise up against the evils around us and do what we can to stop them.

I have seen many different opinions posted in this past week about who’s fault it is, what the country’s leaders should do, and misguided attempts to bring racism into the mix. I don’t think this is the time or the place for everyone’s personal agendas. I believe this is a time for people realize we are all the same and in this together. People need to look at what is going on as a member of the human race not as a member of the black community angry because Paris got more airplay or Americans wanting to turn away one group of people but not the others who have also brought their own form of danger to our country.

I do believe the American government needs to start taking care of what is going on at home before trying tstatue-of-liberty-539318_1280o take care of other people’s problems while attempting to lend a small hand when they can. You cannot help others if you cannot help yourself. Our country is in turmoil as well and our government needs to get off their ass and handle their business.

I’m sad for all those who were affected by last week’s events. It was a horrible state of affairs all around. I just think that Americans happen to be a group of people, for many reasons, who tend to be more self-absorbed and tend to use a situation to their advantage to spout their personal form of political agendas.

God help those who are suffering right now. Please keep all of us safe and stop the people who are out to do harm to others swiftly and efficiently. As for Americans, it is time for us all to start taking care of ourselves, protecting our own, and demand that our political leaders do their jobs appropriately, correctly, and efficiently. We have homeless childrtokyo-tower-825196_1920en living hungry on the streets, American men and women selling our children and adults for sex in human trafficking right under our officials noses, priest and other psychos raping children under the confines of the church, and cops attacking and murdering people under the confines of the law. We have issues here at home. It’s time to fix them so that our country can be a better place for our citizens to live.

What issues would you like to see address in our country today? How have you explained all of these incidences with your children? Let’s chat about it!
