My Heart Is Heavy Today

July 7, 2016 by Kay 1 Comment

My heart is heavy today. I went to bed last night at 1:00 am after having a conversation with my niece about the state of affairs in America right now with two men being murdered by bad cops. I cannot express my disgust clear enough. I can’t express my sadness enough. I can only hold it deep within my heart and internally feel the weight it is pressing down inside my chest.

I know most of the time my post are inspiring, funny, and sometimes rant filled and that is by design because I promised on both of my blogs I would be open and honest about my feelings about anything and everything that happens in life. Today is no different. The true difference is I’m not sure I can get my thoughts together to express my feelings in a clear and concise way, but I promise to try.
No matter what color you are on the outside, you are human on the inside. Each and every one of us is the same. religion-1139050_1920We all have clear differences that make us and life more interesting, but we are all human at the core and that makes us the same. No one person is better than the other because we are all equally flawed.

I am deeply saddened to see that all Dr. Martin Luther Kingmartin-luther-king-180477_1920 Jr, and everyone who stood with him, have done for this country has pretty much been forgotten and tossed out the window. It was not that long ago that we fought for the rights of all men and women in this country. We have all lived under the umbrella of delusion that things have changed. In some ways it has, but at its core nothing has changed.

Let me be clear here! To
generalize is a horrible thing to do because you label people with labels they don’t deserve. So, let me clarify what I’m going to say, there are more great people out there in our American society who have grown to see the ridiculousness that is racism and prejudice and have made certain to not exhibit that hateful behavior.

There are plenty of police officers in our American society who have taken the oath they have spoken to heart and live by it to “Protect and Serve” our communities with dignity and respect. I honor every one of you people who have lived by these models. You are my family and my friends. I am not speaking about any of you and I choose not to generalize my statements towards everyone because it is unfair.

However, the flip side of all of this is there are bad cops and bad people in the world, particularly, for the sake of what is going on “White People”. There are plenty out there that still believe America was theirs for the taking, the natives were savage and needed to be eliminated and strong-armed into becoming the European’s version of civilized, America is a place where white people should rule, and all minorities, including women, should sit back, shut up, and do as they are told. In the grand scheme of things, these people with these beliefs may be the minority themselves, but they are loud, proud, and bold. They are the ultimate bullies of America. They scare everyone into submission and continue to spread their hate from generation to generation so it never ends. This is why it is still a rampant problem.stop-1001138_1920

Time for Change!!

How do we acquire the much-needed change we all deserve in this country? First of all, let’s establish that this is an American issue, not a worldwide issue. Other countries have their own problems, but this is not one of them. Black people can go to other countries and feel just as welcome as any other race. So let’s focus on home.

Secondly, it is time to be honest and tell the truth. The lies that have been spread for centuries in a sugar coated basket of strawberries needs to be eliminated and the truth needs to be told from now on. All history books need to be burned and rewritten to teach the truth about this country. Will this make an entire race of people look bad in the eyes of the generations to come? Absolutely! What the explorers, “founding fathers”, and everyone else who came to this land and took it over with no concern of the people who lived here first and called this place home was wrong plain and simple. You would never allow someone to come to the front door of your house, barge in, sit down on your sofa and begin to tell you how savage you are and that the way you run your house is incorrect and you “have to” do things their way or else suffer the consequences. This behavior would be considered unacceptable and you would probably have some choice words for that person and immediately kick them right out of your home. Unfortunately, the indigenous people did not have that luxury because they didn’t have the weaponry needed to defend themselves against the great bullies of Europe who accidentally landed on our land.

There needs to be a sincere acknowledgment of all wrong doing by the white race. It is time for the sons and daughters to take responsibility for the “sins of the father” as they say. The situation has been ignored and brushed under the carpet for far too long. Start with the Native Americans and move your way up to the African Americans, Mexican Americans and every other race that has been wronged.

Admit that white privilege exist and eliminate it while admitting that there is a clear double standard and prejudice against everyone who is not white, especially black people who just so happen to be the most different from all races because they are the darkest shade of beauty by design. God knows what he is doing when he is doing what he does.

Good cops! Stand up against your co-workers who are not living by the oath you have sworn to uphold. White people, stand up to those white people who are still trying to perpetuate this nonsense for generations to come. You have to stop this. It truly is up to all of you. Everyone who is not white,
stand up for what is right. Stand up for your brothers and sisters in Christ, as we Christians would say, and start demanding better treatment. The more good people rise up, demand change, and accept nothing less than,
the more change we have to make our American society a better place.

Everyone needs to come out of the state of delusion they have been living in, including me, and pay attention. It is time to see our world in this land for what it is and make changes. We can all do it together if we work together. But make no mistake about it, if good cops and good white people don’t jump on board, it will be a long hard road to justice, peace, and harmony in this country.

We are living in a state of civil unrest. People are tired and restless. Retribution is coming one way or another. The LA Riots, though I still think it was dumb to trash your own home, is a clear example of the exhaustion American citizens are feeling. War is coming to our country. It doesn’t have to happen. It can be stopped, if people open their eyes, grow some balls, and do the right thing.

It is difficult to do the right thing, but it has to be done. I say this often, “Jesus did not stand and watch the people stone Mary Magdalene and allow it to go on. He yelled at them and made them stop because what they were doing was wrong.” If you stand around and watch people do wrong to others, you are no different than the person doing the actual wrong act. You are just as guilty. It’s time for everyone to put their grown up pants on and take a stand. Our very lives and our family’s lives depend on it.

If you want to chat about it, I’m here. If you are angry with me, that’s okay. We all know that I speak my truth from the heart with no regrets. Love to you all and your families. May you all sleep well in safety tonight. And God bless the lost souls and their families. May the Lord wash peace upon their hearts as they come to grips with their loss.
